Custom restyling work — vinyl wraps, PPF, chrome delete — should not affect the mechanical warranty on your vehicle. Federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) prevents manufacturers from voiding warranty coverage on unrelated systems just because aftermarket work was performed. So a wrap on your paint doesn't affect engine or transmission coverage. The wrap or PPF itself doesn't void paint warranty either, since both are designed to be removed without damaging the factory finish when professionally installed by a 3M-certified shop. The exception: poor-quality installations or removals can damage paint, which the manufacturer won't cover. That's why we strongly recommend using a 3M Pro Shop with proper installation training and warranty backing rather than budget shops.
